Woah. That definitely sounds upsetting and is entirely unintentional. Seems like things aren't going as planned at the venue.
Sometimes, cinemas cancel shows at the last minute in case of lower than the minimum required seat occupancy for a show. Shows can also be canceled/modified due to technical issues like projector malfunction, air conditioning not working, broadcasting issues, etc.
We always notify our patrons via an upfront SMS, provided the cinema passes on such schedule change info.
In the case of venue-side show cancellations, you can be rest assured, the entire payment will be refunded and will reflect in your source of funds, ideally, in five to seven working days. You'll also be notified via SMS and Email about your fund reversal.
If a Gift Voucher is used for such a transaction, it shall be refunded back to the same voucher. The same voucher code can be used again once the refund SMS/Email hits your inbox. We'll also auto-extend it's validity by a week.
